On a trip to Vermont in September 2019 I had a chance to visit the Lost Nation Brewing Company in Morrisville, Vermont on a warm, sunny afternoon with nowhere in particular to go and all afternoon to do it.

A casual consultation with my iPhone set me on the way to the brewery in Morrisville. Not knowing exactly what to expect from such a casual conversation, it was a pleasant surprise to find a large wood sheathed brewery with both outdoor seating (with an open space grill where assorted meats and veggies were being properly charred) and inside tables and ten-seat bar.

The Word on the Web….

The Folks at BeerAdvocate.com have this to say…

4/5 “I’m trying this beer at the Burlington Country Club. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had saaz hop notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with grass and sharp grain presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.”

And…

3.97/5 “From the can, it pours a lovely golden color with a nice head, constantly replenished by a steady stream of bubbles from the bottom of the glass. Lacing forever as you enjoy it. Scent is clean and fresh, reminiscent of a nice Franken Pilsner, which is appropriate considering the Bamberg representation on the can. Taste follows.”

KatieWanders.com is a site I recently found, and I suggest you take a look at her impression on visiting the brewery…

“What would a Katie Wanders trip to Vermont be without stopping at a brewery?  The amount of New England breweries I have visited in the one year I have been home is impressive and alarming.  When traveling north to hike, bike, ski and play in the mountains, a stop at a new brewery is just the perfect way to break up a road trip (as counter-intuitive as that may sound).  So yes, I have done a lot of hiking, biking, skiing and playing in my year here.  Oh yeah, and a fair amount of drinking I suppose.”
