Can Laughing Stock Double IPA from Magic Hat Brewing Co. “Meet Expectations”?

The last time I visited Magic Hat Brewing Company I had a chance to interview the brewer there. At the time we spoke about the #9 Sour that had just been introduced.

On the way out he gifted me with a four-pack of the Laughing Stock Double India Pale Ale.

I hope you enjoy watching this “Meeting Expectations” as much as we did.

It would also be great if you would Subscribe, Share and “Ring the Bell”.

The Magic Hat website tells us…

“Laughing Stock is a big, juicy DIPA with notes of grapefruit, mango and papaya. Brewed with Warrior, Cascade, Amarillo, Citra, Falconer’s Flight & Mosaic Hops. Dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic & Falconer’s Flight.”

The Word on the Web:

BeerAdvocate.com

“Overall, it’s just not falling in-line with my expectations if what is a righteous big IPA these days. It certainly has it’s charms, as it’s a bit of a throw-back style with the big bitter alpha acid attack, the malt falls in line with the lighter side malt experience, which I dig. Together…. it’s rather strange. Just go for the ride and figure it out for yourself.”

“Can. Pours golden yellow with a short off-white head. Aroma was floral with pine and grass. Flavor of passion fruit, pine, mango, papaya, citrus and grapefruit.”
