Another beer tasting with at the Henry Street Ale House. Can “Bench Press/Bench Press/Bench Press Pilsner”, from Liars Bench Brewing Co. in Portsmouth, NH, “Meet Expectations”?

The beer used for the tasting was purchased at the Liars Bench Brewing Co. a few weeks before the beer tasting. You can be sure it was well taken care of over that short time.

I must say, this was one of the more pleasant beer tastings that we have done. The balance of the malt and hops was outstanding. The color was a perfectly golden and the lightly roasted malt and subtle hops stopped us all for a moment in contemplation.

It appears, after semi-diligent research that this was a “One-Off”

“When your ears are ringing in five different pitches. When you are drenched in the sweat of strangers. When an errant elbow busts your nose and your shirt’s dye blood red. When the headliners take the stage at 11:47 and your alarm is set for 0530 the next morning. When a two-hour set is both an eternity and an interlude when none of it matters. Be alive. Be committed, DRINK IT LOUD. DRINK IT PROUD”

Yes, all of that is on the label but there is no production code anywhere on the can.

From the Brewery…

Information on Bench Press Pilsner at the website run by Liars bench Brewing Co. is sparse, to say the least.
