Hospoda Secures Michelin-Star Chef René Stein,
Now Crafting New American Beer-Inspired Cuisine

René Bastian Stein, the former Chef de Cuisine of Seäsonal who was awarded two stars from The New York Times and earned a Michelin star for two straight years, has joined Hospoda as Executive Chef. Chef Stein is developing Hospoda’s food menu as New American Beer-Inspired Cuisine, making for a one-of-a-kind and sophisticated culinary experience.

Stein was raised and trained in Germany, where he worked at the Michelin-starred restaurant Antoniewicz and at Amador, which has three Michelin stars. After moving to work in the States, Stein racked up accolades from Best Chefs in America and Eater, who nominated him as a “Young Gun” in 2012. He also competed on the Food Network show “Chopped.”

With European roots and a contemporary global outlook, Chef Stein’s background and culinary ambition are a natural fit with the aesthetics and culture of Hospoda. Their inventive New American Beer-Inspired Cuisine reflects that commitment to the art and artistry of food and drink.

Buffalo Wild Wings to debut Game Changer craft beer

Buffalo Wild Wings will roll out its long-awaited Game Changer craft beer on tap at all of its 925-plus locations on July 15. The beer is a pale ale with an amber color, and it will be available only on tap at Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants.

Breweries from around the world sent in more than 2500 beers representing 68 different categories for the 2013 U.S. Open Beer Championship, the only brewery competition to include professional breweries and award-winning home-brewers. Judges from England, Canada and the United States announced the winners this week, noting that “The Dairy State” could earn a new moniker, “The Beer State,” based on how well Wisconsin beers fared in the national event. The oldest brewery in the United States and the oldest brewery in the world also medaled.
