This time it is lunch at what is called the Heartland Brewery in Union Square NYC.

Here we have the basic medium-rare cheddar burger with a pint of Bavarian Black Lager.

(Notice the sesame seed almost-square bun.)

The roasted grain flavors of the “Black Lager” added depth of flavor to the grilled meat patty that boasted both a beefy flavor and a slightly sweet accent found in a good medium-rare hamburger. The less aggressive hop tang nevertheless helped to accent the onion, tomato and lettuce that made up the rest of the hamburger sandwich.

Was it worth the $26.00(US) including tax and over 25% tip (I tip rather generously)?

Yes it was… and the service was friendly and informative.
