=================================
Greetings,
First of all I would like to thank all of you for your
support over the last three years. It has been a great deal of fun growing this
publication into a weekly newsletter with a subscription list of over 1,000 and
to be able to offer information that you can get no where else.
The on-the-job learning curve has challenged my abilities as
a publisher. For this reason, and the fact that a vacation is something I have
not enjoyed in over a dozen years, I have decided to use the month of August to
learn the programs that will allow me to publish this newsletter in “pdf”
format that will mean much more pleasant looking publication. I also will have
the mailing list converted to a program that will keep mailing problems at a
minimum.
As you can see from the masthead I have assembled a staff of
professional writers who will add their unique perspectives to this
publication. I hope to add a voice from the kitchen this fall to complement the
voice from behind the bar (Chris Halleron) and from the road (Kurt Epps). Alan
Wax’s valuable insights and Deven Black’s hand on the tiller have only begun to
shape the exclusive insights you can only find here at HotTrub@BeerBasics. To all of these
gentlemen I send my thanks and wish them a relaxing month of August.
I will also finalize an editorial calendar covering September 2002 through September 2003 that will be included in HotTrub@BeerBasics on Monday 2 September 2002.
Finally, please take a moment to fill in the following
blanks and return your answers to me.
“I read HotTrub@BeerBasics
because ________________________.”
“Please don’t publish any more material on
____________________.”
“I look forward to reading about
_____________________________.”
Your responses will make this a publication that will remain
a valuable asset to all subscribers.
Have a happy and safe August and I look forward to welcoming
you all to an exciting new version of HotTrub@BeerBasics
in September.
Cheers!
