Web Based Brewing Course now IBD Recognized
When the World Brewing Academy designed the web-based WBA Concise Course in Brewing Technology, we set out to deliver world-class brewing industry training to brewers across the globe via the internet. Today, the WBA is proud to announce that the web-based Concise Course is now formally recognized by the Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) as suitable for students writing the IBD General Certificate in Brewing Exam.
Based in London, the IBD offers a range of internationally recognized exams that are utilized by breweries of all sizes and geographic locations to assess the level of brewing technical skills of their employees and potential hires. Designed to measure the basic knowledge (theoretical and practical) underpinning brewing, the General Certificate in Brewing (GCB) exam is open to anyone with an interest in brewing. The exam is especially aimed at brewing team members, team leaders and technicians. For more information of the IBD General Certificate in Brewing exam, visit their web site at http://www.ibd.org.uk/igbsite/business/examinations/news.asp .
